Instead of using it like I mentioned in the post (mixing it with conditioner), you might want to apply per the directions. Once you've done a full protein treatment, then you can continue using a little each wash (by mixing it with conditioner). At the same time, focus on increasing moisture as much as possible. Moisture is what will give your hair that flexibility so it bends instead of breaking. This means, never skipping on a pre-poo, using hydrating shampoos, steaming in your deep conditioner, etc. Just try to get your protein, moisture balance back in line. It may take a few weeks (or longer) but look for progress. If your hair is responding positively, keep going. I was going to take the big chop, but then decided against it. I had some color put in my hair and this caused my hair to shed and break. I am now trying to get my hair back right. Any suggestions? I'm currently using the DRC-28 protein conditioner to help with the breakage. I hope to hear from you soon. Like you I think part of the problem was poor detangling methods and ironically stretching too long. I've adjusted my routine and have been monitoring it like a hawk. About 3 weeks ago I noticed breakage and immediately sought professional help. <br />Great tips you have shared here.Diary of a Hair Obsessionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15631561982154559437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3694576553060225835.post-37125378135993610452010-09-10T02:32:49.520-04:002010-09-10T02:32:49.520-04:00Very nice article. I was afraid to go to my regular salon because I thought all of my hair would be cut off since I wasn't sure of the extent of damage there was in other areas of my hair was. I found out the source and stopped it. Went to my salon, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's been 4 or 5 months since that visit and my hair is back on it's path to greatness.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16395461775862812936noreply@blogger.com
