[add to cart.] Egyptian Magic Beauty Balm

Reviews
I've made a conscious effort to temper my desire to want to buy every beauty product available.  Lately, I've tried to make purchases of items that I believe will be sure bets. More importantly, products likely to become long-term staples.  One such product, I've never spoken about until today. But I've longed to get my hands on this cult favorite for a while.

Last year, I wrote an article about how I was all about balms.  The older I get, the drier my skin becomes and balms really add that extra bit of oomph when it comes to sealing in moisture.  All the balms I purchased were great.....I hadn't found the one.

Thankfully, fate awaited me at a local Marshall's as I was introduced to the beauty balm of my dreams.
To be fair, it wasn't an introduction. I already heard the buzz around Egyptian Magic.  Everyone raved about how special it was.  Although I was highly interested, I wondered if this balm was any different for the myriad of others already sitting on my shelf.

Thanks to the help of modern technology, I put out a poll on IG asking for help on whether I should make the impulse purchase.  The responses I received were highly positive so I knew what I had to do.

When I arrived home, the first thing I did was open the jar to formulate my first impressions.  Upon visual inspection, it looked similar to most of the other balms I own. What makes this one so special?

Once I tested the product with my fingers, I immediately received the answer to my question.  Like I said earlier, I have a few different balms from various brands.  Egyptian Magic isn't like any of them.  It feels like a cross between Vaseline and body butter.  Meaning that it's like a balm but with a smoother, softer (creamier?) texture.

Instinctively, I grabbed one of my tiny beauty spatulas and applied some Egyptian Magic on my lips.  Heaven.  Absolute heaven.  Truthfully, I don't think I have any lip product that compares.  It feels so smooth and buttery on the lips.  It feels like it melts right in and doesn't leave your lips feeling greasy.  My lips were ultra-moisturized with a hint of shine.  I hate to say it but, I preferred wearing this to bed instead of my beloved Laniage lip mask.  Tonight I'll wear them both to see if they create a winning combination.

After experiencing Egyptian Magic on my lips for a little while, I made the executive decision to slather it all over my face.  By slather, I mean wearing a thin layer as part of my "go to bed greasy" protocol.  It's been a while since I wore an oil-based product to bed and this felt like the perfect way to bring this ritual back into my life. It sinks into the skin quickly so you don't have to worry about oil on your pillows. It's also made of simple ingredients which include:  honey, beeswax, olive oil, royal jelly, bee pollen, and bee propolis.
Royal jelly is known for its anti-inflammatory, skin healing, and anti-bacterial benefits.  Bee pollen is nutrient-rich due to its high vitamin and mineral content. Honey is an awesome humectant for hydrated skin and bee propolis is rich in antioxidants which helps neutralize free radicals.  Another bonus of bee propolis is that it can help fight oily skin by controlling oil production.  Seriously, none of my other balms can relate to all the potential benefits of Egyptian Magic.

I also want to use it on my hair and see if there's any chemistry.   If you have a bee allergy, stay away from this stuff. Otherwise.....add to cart immediately!  You won't regret it.

  2. SheairButters.com 'My Everything Cream,' a black-owned brand started by a former cancer patient is much better than Egyptian Magic, which is nothing but expensive grease.
