Nightly: Always tie my hair with silk scarf. Apply Gleau oil and my moisturizer. Sometimes I mist my hair at night to remoisturize. I also will give myself a scalp massage several days a week with eucalyptus essential oil mixed with a carrier oil.
As Needed: I spray my hair with a mix of spring water, Biolage Daily Repair Tonic, Cera Repair Pro, and coconut vinegar. I experiment with different ingredients to see what works best for me. I use this mist when my hair starts feeling too dry. I also like to use this mist at night also so my hair can feel more moisturized and envigorated in the morning.
Weekly:
+I wash with a cleansing conditioner (currently WEN Honey Fig) after a pretty lengthy pre-poo process using either coconut oil, my fave conditioner or a decadent pre-poo treatment like Philip Kingsley Elasticizer or Ojon Hair Treatment. Lately, I've been dry deep conditioning with heat prior to "washing." This process is saving me a ton of time and is really effective so far. Will continue to tweak the process and monitor the results long term.
+ For my deep conditioner I currently use Silicon Mix Protein de Perla & Kanechom for moisture. I also recently added Paul Mitchell Awapuhi because of the quality protein not find in many other products. Every other week I add a capful or so of Baby Face Pure Protein to my conditioner. It adds protein/strength to my hair without the risk of protein overload. Since I purchased my conditioning flat iron, nothing has ever been the same. It uses infrared technology to help product to penetrate further into the hair strand. I use it when the conditioner is still in my hair and the results multiply over time. I noticed a reduction in breakage and an overall look of healthy hair after using it for 3-4 wash days.
+I'm commited to remain consistent with my steaming sessions on a weekly basis. Whenever I'm consistent, my hair thanks me. Then I roller set and sit under my hooded dryer.
Touch Up: I touch up around every 4 months using Affirm Fiberguard mild formula. My hair rarely comes out bone straight. I add a capful of Pure Protein and silk amino acids to my relaxer to further protect my hair from additional damage. . I make sure to protect my previously touched up hair with Preservo Serum, Porosity Control, neutralizing shampoo or something with low pH.
Nutritional Support: I try to drink lots of water as often as possible. I believe that drinking more than 2 liters a day helps our skin glow and helps the body to transport nutrients to our scalp. I wrote a post about hair growth during winter time compared to summer. Besides lots of water, I like to supplement my diet with ultra nutritious smoothies. Silica is really important for hair skin and nails so I like to drink silica in the form of bamboo tea & with silica gel.
Scalp Health: Scalp Massages with Essential oils, apple cider vinegar, Keracare dry itchy scalp shampoo. scalp massages, coconut oil.
