Currently Craving | The Perfect Perm Rod Set

hair styles
Guess what I'll be doing before the week is over?  I will be purchasing my very first set of perm rods.  For as long as I can remember, I've been doing the typical roller set using magnetic rollers. Meanwhile I was missing out on the amazing potential of perm rods.
I've always had this view that perm rods would create tight shrunken curls. Probably because I'd only seen people use the smallest size.  Now I know better. My eyes have been opened and I'm ready to run head first into a magical land filled with perm rods of various sizes and colors.
I'd like to take a moment to thank the poster on my Facebook page who made the comment about using perm rods after I posted the pic below.  I am forever grateful.

Yay for perm rods!

  1. What size rollers did you get?

  2. I used to have a set of large perm rods, but I think I may have given them away. I'll be doing a search tonight to confirm. This could be a great late stretch style.

  3. Hi Anon,
I actually haven't gotten mine yet. I'll probably go for the various large sizes available. Can't wait to try it.

  4. Any suggestions on how to make them last? maybe pin them down at night, then wrap in satin? t would be interesting to see a day 1,then 2 then 3 progression of these curls

  5. Hi Shika,
I watched some Youtube vids of the process. Most of the gals put their hair up in a pineapple (a high, loose ponytail at the crown) before wrapping a scarf around it.

  6. Hi Zoe,
I haven't heard about Oleoplex. Can you tell me a little about it?
