A few years ago, I learned of a modern miracle breakthrough technology that would bless certain hair products with the ability to actually repair split ends. It seemed almost too good to be true until I tried it myself. Upon discovering that Nexxus offered a full line of products infused with the special ingredient that could "mend" split ends, I went all in.
The Pro-Mend conditioner quickly earned "staple status" because of the level of impact that it made to my hair. I noticed a difference after one use. I also grabbed a few bottles of the leave-in so I could apply it to my ends directly after each wash. Somehow, this incredible product fell out of rotation. But today, I instinctively reached for it as I was looking for a product to help set my curls.
A short time later, as I gently fluffed out the curls, I wondered why I neglected this product for so long. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that Pro-Mend Leave-In Creme might be the perfect moisturizer. First of all, the consistency reminds me of a moisturizer because it's a cream, not a liquid. Secondly, the instructions actually state that it can be used daily for split end protection.
I'm sure that we all have a daily moisturizer already in rotation. But do any of them have the ability to "bind split ends back together in one use?" (their words not mine).
If the answer is no, then I ask you...."what are you doing with your life?"
More specifically, what are you doing to ensure that your ends endure the harsh realities of this crazy world? When I think of all the broken ends that could've been saved if only I used this leave-in on a regular basis, I want to shed a tear.
It's a new day which means that moisturizers should do much more than just "moisten" the hair. They should protect the hair from the very things that threaten it the most. For me that means breakage. Because breakage systematically weakens my ability to retain valuable length.
Anyhoo, I'm older and wiser now and Pro-Mend Creme is no longer going to be pigeon holed into a wash day experience only.
Heads up! The formula is a bit thick so feel free to mix a little with a watery moisturizer if needed. Or, in my case, I spritzed a little water to each dime size amount to dilute it before setting the individual sections.
Before I go, I'd like to leave you with a few powerful testimonials in case you need some more convincing of how awesome Pro-Mend is.
I am African American with natural 4C/B hair and every once and a while I blow dry/straighten my hair for a trim and just to see how long it's gotten since it shrinks up so much in its natural state. I did a blow out before knowing about this product and my ends were looking very ragged and even after cutting about an inch off they were still looking dry and straw-like with no relief from oils or serums so I did research and found this stuff.
Can I say OMG! After re-washing using this leave in creme and blow-drying/straightening, I couldn't stop looking at my hair! I kept thinking it was going to revert back to my frizzy ends but no, not even the next morning did I see the usual frizzy ends. I would say it eliminated about 90% of my frizzy end appearance and I am just in love with this product. I used about 1 1/2 pumps for each side of my hair (I have really thick hair). My only gripe is that I WISH I would have found this BEFORE I cut off an inch or so of my hair but oh well, I have it now. This will be a staple in my hair care regimen for sure.
