Are You Using Glycolic Acid to Create Your Softest Feet Ever?

Beauty Secrets
Warm weather is approaching which means it's open-toed shoe season.  I live in a climate where I can pretty much wear opened-toed shoes all year.  Unfortunately, exposing my feet every single day means that I'm constantly battling excessive dryness.

Many years ago, I watched a Youtube video where this girl mentioned that she exfoliates her feet every day in the shower using pumice.  I quickly adopted that practice and it made a world of difference.  Daily scrubbing does help with preventing over calloused heels but it didn't positively impact moisture levels.  That's when I discovered that I could infuse my feet with hydration by wrapping them with used sheet masks.

I thought I knew all the secrets of how to create soft, pretty feet but I've learned yet another tactic that might just be the missing key that unlocks perfect results.

Hopefully, by now, you're aware of how amazing The Ordinary's Glycolic Acid Toning Solution is.  At first, I thought it was just an "ok" toner.  But then I learned of all the ways it could be used on the body and I became a believer.  I've spoken highly of using The Ordinary's Toner to treat scalp issues.  Another way I use this multitasker is to exfoliate and lighten my underarms.

But never did I imagine I'd use toner on my feet until TikTok put me on.

Currently, I'm on day 2 of using exfoliating toner on my feet.  The words I'd use to describe the results are.... life-changing....absolutely life-changing.

Scrubbing my feet daily helps remove excessive dead skin from my heels. This step is absolutely necessary but it doesn't fully get the job done.  Toning my feet after a shower takes everything to the next level.  I use these oversized cotton rounds to make the process even easier.   After toning, I lotion my feet like normal.  If I want to add a little razzle-dazzle, I'll wear my moisturizing gel socks after lotioning.

In my opinion, scrubbing with a pumice stone helps prep the feet before toning.  I also noticed that toning my feet helps my pumice stone to work more effectively because the dead skin is already loosened beforehand.

The best part of this entire process is that my feet are back to feeling naturally soft.  Combining manual exfoliation with an exfoliating toner is the best decision I've made in a very long time.
