The other day I shared this pic on my Facebook page as a testament to the versatility of a full sew-in weave install.  Like everyone else, I was in awe of how natural install looks.  Once over the initial shock, I fell completely in love with the look.

"Looks simple enough" I thought to myself as I pondered on recreating the style.  It wasn't until I looked more closely that I realized the difference in the braiding technique.  In fact, it wasn't a braid at all.  More like the technique one uses to create a fishtail braid.

The moment uncertainty crept in, I immediately leapt into action in the form of a simple Google search. A few clicks later and I came across a video which demonstrates a clear technique to create something similar to what we see above.  I'll be experimenting with this look within the next couple of weeks.

You can check out the video here if you'd like to know how this look was done.  Enjoy!

  1. I can't get over that being a weave! It's so natural!
I don't know how to cornrow but that's how I braid. I call it an inside braid but no one can ever figure out what I'm talking about. lol

    1. Inside braid it! Maybe someone will know what I'm talking about when I say it! How long did it take you to learn the technique?

  2. That's a weave? Say what???!?

I can't wait to see this look on you chica!
